It's the final weekend of July and there is yet more Formula 1 action to enjoy, with the Belgian Grand Prix taking place this Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

This is one of the most historic races on the calendar, taking place at the legendary and long Circuit of Spa-Francorchamps.

Making this weekend's race all the more exciting is the fact that this is an F1 sprint weekend, meaning qualifying for the race comes on Friday, before a sprint shootout and sprint race on Saturday and then the main race on Sunday.

In this Belgian Grand Prix qualifying live blog, we'll bring you all the latest updates from Friday's session, which will determine Sunday's grid.

Max Verstappen goes into the session knowing he faces a grid penalty, so he'll want to finish as high as possible as he aims to win an eighth Grand Prix in a row.
