Premier League With a view to becoming a goalkeeping coach

Manchester City have agreed a deal to sign Asier Riesgo from Eibar, a transfer that should be announced in the coming days.

The 35-year-old goalkeeper was Eibar's backup last season and he'll become the third-choice option at the Etihad.

He'll sign a one-year deal, which comes with the possibility of becoming a goalkeeping coach at the English club's academy when he retires.

There is also a significant wage increase, as he'll earn double what he was taking home at Eibar.

Asier Mancisidor, who coached the player at Real Sociedad, is now working as a goalkeeping coach at Manchester City and has been key to this operation.

While Riesgo knows he won't play much, if at all, he has never been one to cause a problem in the dressing room and Pep Guardiola is keen for him to bring his experience to the club.
