Barcelona: Player analysis of 2015/16
Claudio Bravo (7) Noticeable.
He failed to reclaim the Zamora trophy, but he has proved once again that he's a reliable goalkeeper.
Barcelona require a goalkeeper that has less to do than many of their rivals and Bravo has succeeded.
Marc-Andre ter Stegen (6) Good.
When Bravo was injured earlier in the season, the German had the opportunity to demonstrate why he should be the undisputed number one, but he didn't take advantage of the situation.
He does continue to improve as a goalkeeper and has played in some decisive matches for the side.
Jordi Masip (-) Doesn't qualify.
Luis Enrique insists that he relies on Masip and regularly highlights his ability, but the truth is he doesn't use him.
If he is to continue his development, he might seek a move away from the Camp Nou.
Douglas Pereira (-) Doesn't qualify.
It's a real mystery as to why this player has had an unsettled season, as Enrique clearly favours others ahead of him.
If he has a competitive spirit, then he should leave Barcelona this summer.
Gerard Pique (8.5) Noticeable.
Pique has been close to his best level.
He is so important to the team that when he is missing it's certainly noticed.
Dani Alves (5.5) Can improve.
The Brazilian has not been at the level of last season, although it has not been one of his worst at Barcelona.
He brings character to the team, but defensively he is becoming increasingly less reliable.
Javier Mascherano (7.5) Noticeable.
The Argentine looked to be leaving two summers ago, but Enrique's faith in him has been rewarded and he has been a fundamental part of the squad.
Marc Bartra (5) Can improve.
Another season passes and Bartra is yet to command a starting position.
He had opportunities at the start of the season, but he did not convince.
Jordi Alba (6) Good.
It has been far from his best level, although he remains vital to this Barcelona.
Perhaps the lack of competition has stopped him reaching top form.
Adriano Correia (4.5) Suspense.
He has done the same as the past seasons.
The most surprising thing is that he has activated a clause in his contract and will continue at the club next year.
Aleix Vidal (5) Can improve.
He has not been at the level expected in his first season at the club.
Came to remove Dani Alves, but he has forced Enrique to continue to use the Brazilian.
Thomas Vermaelen (5) Can improve.
He had his moments to show his worth this season, but he failed to take advantage of them.
You might ask is there a better alternative for his transfer value.
Jeremy Mathieu (6) Good.
When required he did a decent job, but he will still need to raise his game for a team of this level.
Ivan Rakitic (8) Noticeable.
He is the glue of Barcelona.
He is superb in his chance creation and in arriving late in the box, but also in his defensive work.
Sergio Busquets (8.5) Noticeable.
He remains crucial to Barcelona.
The worst version of Busquets would still be better than most midfielders on the current scene.
Arda Turan (4.5) Suspense.
The disappointment of the season, alongside Aleix Vidal.
He is far from the player that we fell in love with at Atletico Madrid.
Andres Iniesta (8.5) Noticeable.
Iniesta has returned to his best and the midfielder has responded to Enrique with some outstanding performances.
Rafinha Alcantara (6) Can improve.
This should have been the confirmation that he can be a great player, but an injury in the Champions League halted his progress.
Sergi Roberto (8) Noticeable.
The revelation of Barcelona's season and the most versatile player in the squad.
He gives solutions to the coach and no matter which position he plays in he excels.
Luis Suarez (9.5) Outstanding.
If you were to describe the ideal striker, then Luis Suarez would be very close to the description.
It's not just his huge tally of goals, but also his defensive work.
Lionel Messi (9) Outstanding.
Without reaching the goal scoring records from other seasons, he has continued to have an enormous influence in the way the team play.
Neymar (7.5) Noticeable.
This season he has had his ups and downs.
When Messi was injured he led Barcelona superbly, but dropped in form after he went to Brazil to visit his sister for her birthday.
Munir El Haddadi (6) Good.
The Spaniard has taken advantage of the opportunities given by Enrique this season.
The main problem is that he competes with three superstars.
Sandro Ramirez (4) Suspense.
The attacker has plenty of potential, but Munir has overtaken him in the pecking order.
Luis Enrique (7) Noticeable.
In some moments this season he has been found lacking in resources.
He has lost the element of surprise from his first year, whilst his success largely depends on the form of his attacking trio.
