Football Jordi Osei-Tutu abandoned the pitch after abuse

English footballer Jordi Osei-Tutu walked off the pitch in tears after being subjected to racist abuse.

The 20-year-old was playing in a friendly match for Bochum, on loan from Arsenal, against Swiss first division side St. Gallen and insists he was called a 'black c**t' by an opposition player.

"I am very disappointed that I was racially abused," Osei-Tutu said. "Nobody should ever be discriminated against and it is really hard to understand how a fellow professional footballer can behave disrespectfully in this way.

"Arsenal and Bochum have provided great support to me and I hope that if nothing else, we can show that racism has no place within football."
