F1 Sprint Race Live Coverage

We'll be taking you through Formula 1's 2022 Austrian GP Sprint Qualifying here in this live blog. Qualification on Friday was a little bit stop-start, with things having to be halted twice.

That didn't stop Max Verstappen though, and he managed to keep his focus and take pole position.

That means the Dutchman will start Saturday's Sprint race in P1, with the winner taking home eight points ahead of Sunday's Grand Prix.

Both Lewis Hamilton and George Russell crashed into the barriers, which meant the final part of qualifying became a one-lap shootout to see who could come out on top. Hamilton's crash was met with distasteful cheers from the stands.
